Moora Mavericks Nippers were undefeated for the 2019 season.

They had a very close game against Lancelin in the semi-final and then played them again in the Grand Final. They certainly had to work hard in the Grand Final, with the first half being very close and low scoring with only a couple of goals in it. In the third quarter the players worked hard and dug deep and scored three goals which put them in a handy lead to then pull away in the last quarter, winning the Grand Final for the third year in a row.

Nathan Cameron was the umpire and Lancelin Coaches choice for Best On Ground in the Grand Final.

A huge thank you to the Junior Football Sponsors throughout the season Moora Citrus, Action Outdoors, Moora Glass, Moora Football Club and Kumquot Mae.

It is the first year for Junior Netball has been included into the Central Midlands Coastal Football League program. The Moora Mavericks finished the season on top of the ladder. They had a close game against Lancelin in the semi-final which they won to advance into the Grand Final. However, Lancelin came away winners by one goal in the Grand Final.

Once again thank you to the Junior Netball Sponsors for their support throughout the season.

We had a stunning spring day for our Junior Football and Netball Windup. It was great to see so many families enjoying the morning together and see the parents joining in the sporting fun.

A big thank you to Les and Wendy Cousins for sponsoring the football Team Medals which were presented with their team photo.

The junior teams have had a great season but this doesn’t just happen. There are good people who volunteer their time and energy to coach. The Moora Mavericks would like to thank Wayne ‘Spud’ Murphy, Kristin Lefroy, Ann Marie Marshall and Sarah Johns for coaching our young players with a special mention for Spud in his last season of coaching the Nippers.

Lastly a big thank you to the parents and caregivers of the Mavericks Juniors, as without your commitment to get children to training, travel to the games and volunteer for game day responsibilities, junior sport is not possible.
Congratulations to the Moora Mavericks Junior teams for their successes in the 2019 season.
