A warm farewell for Judi Moylan was held at the recent Liberal party morning tea at Bindoon. The attendees welcomed the new candidate Christian Porter but also presented Judi with flowers and a genuine offering of thanks for all that she has done for the region.
Jan Stagbouer provided an account of the tremendous work by Judi for the community over the years. “She has worked enormously hard for Pearce; whether she was helping us fighting our battles for Great Northern Highway or helping us to make cakes to make money for our fire station. She has always been an active part of our community.
Judi, graciously responded by thanking the many people who have made a difference. She thanked June Fromm for her enormous efforts to help her in her campaign, recalling how June would walk up and down the main street carrying sandwich boards to promote Judi, she thanked Bob Blizzard, a champion of the community. She acknowledged the work of Sally Gifford, as president of the local branch and husband George for their support.

Judi also stressed how pleased she was for Pearce to have a candidate of such high calibre as Christian Porter and also acknowledged his wife Jennifer who as Campaign Director, has given up her work (qualified lawyer) to help Christian in his campaign.
I spoke to Jennifer and was extremely impressed by her teamwork approach to the campaign. Living in Yanchep, Jennifer explained that she will join Christian on many of his trips to Canberra to gain a better understanding of his world so she can be more supportive. With young children in their sights she understands this may not be forever but while she can she will be with him every step of the way.
Whilst there were no babies present, Ann Graham (Wildlife careers) brought along a joey, who not only enjoyed many adoring eyes, also provided that perfect baby photo, which Jennifer and Ann Graham were happy to accommodate.
