The Moora Chamber of Commerce held a sundowner at Hendo’s Plumbing & Gas on 11/03/16. Glenn showcased his workshop and the improvements made and Amy explained how the business started and highlighted how far they have come in the last 10 years. One of the significant features of the business is that Amy and Glenn proudly employ locals and encourage their employees to stay in town for the local term. With two apprentices currently employed, Hendo’s continues to grow and keep it local. President Joe Fitzpatrick welcomed more than 49 guests to the event, including a couple of potential new members. He spoke about some ideas for the Chamber for 2016 and then introduced Jackie Shervington & Tamieka Preston from the Northern Valley News to present. Peter Van Der Ende then advised of up coming events in Partnership with other groups and reminded guests of the benefits of Moora Chamber membership.
Peter explained what the Chamber offers by way of members events, sundowners and partnerships with other groups. In particular, with the Moora CRC
where business members receive a 10% discount of all goods & services relating to business needs. The NVNews team also offered new Chamber members 3
complimentary trade ads up to June 2016. Moora Chamber members are also offered discounted listing on the Chamber Calendar, all for only $75.
