A change of venue and a partnership with Immaculate Heart College Parents and Friends will inject new excitement to the Veteran Car Club of WA (Inc) Chittering Branch’s third annual car day.

The two groups joined forces when the use of the Lower Chittering oval was made not possible due to problems with visitor parking.

Chittering Branch’s event organiser, Jeff Gibbs approached the P&F with a proposal to support each other’s events by holding the car day in conjunction with their markets.

The suggestion was accepted with great enthusiasm by the P&F and since then both groups have met regularly to plan for a wonderful day.

The car day and markets will be held Sunday 18 November and will be located on the Immaculate Heart oval, 34 Santa Gertrudis Dve, Chittering.

Gates open at 9am and entry is a gold coin donation.
Representing the P&F, Erin Wimshurst said she is very excited at how plans for the day are progressing.

“At this stage it looks like we will have over 40 stalls, possibly more, and several food outlets,” she said.

The P&F have also planned a Kids Zone with face painting, bouncy castle, pony rides and a cuddly animal farm.

Not only will visitors be well fed but they will also be entertained with music and of course the display of historic cars.

Jeff Gibbs said that he is confident the event will attract a great number of veteran, vintage and classic cars.

“We welcome all cars from all clubs including vintage bikes,” he said.

The two groups said they hope their much-planned event will attract many visitors and locals and they are looking forward to welcoming everyone to what they believe will be an exciting day.
