The ever-popular Bindoon Bakehaus has been scooping up awards lately – the most recent being their wins in the Bread and Pastry Awards held by the
Royal Agricultural Society of Western Australia. Taking out Overall Winner of the #BloggersBest award for their delicious carrot cake was a highlight for co-owners Anne-Marree Hagge and Leanne Phillipson who also took home a silver in the large cakes section (Torte) and the apprentice pastry sections (Chocolate eclair) as well as Bronze in the Gourmet pies (Lamb pie), Savoury Pastry (Pasties) and Brownie and Slices classes (Double Chocolate Brownies).
Although you’ll have to set aside a special visit to the bakery to sample the carrot cake and hot pastries and pies, you can sample the delicious Double Chocolate (Gluten free!), decadent Peanut Butter and the tantalising Orange Chocolate Hazelnut brownies at the Bindoon Bakehaus stall at this year’s Taste of Chittering. A selection of freshly baked breads and sweet pastries will also be on sale. This month the Bakehaus were also celebrated at the Wheatbelt Business Excellence Awards held in Bindoon winning the award for Business of the Year. And it was only last month the successful duo brought home accolades from Australia’s Best Pie and Pastie Competition! However, the proof is in the pudding, as they say, so don’t take anyone else’s word for it, make sure you taste their delicious wares for yourself!
