Wonders of worms!

10 November 2018 @ 11:00 am - 1:00 pm

Learn how to use a worm farm to transform household food scraps into useful products for your garden.
This workshop, presented by Kevin Smith from The Worm Shed, being held on Saturday 10 November 11am-1pm, features a presentation on all aspects of worm farming and the role worms play in recycling and waste management. It is followed by a demonstration of setting up and maintaining a worm farm.
Worm Café worm farms will be available to purchase at the end of the workshop. Residents and ratepayers of the City are entitled to purchase a subsidised worm farm, complete with worms and worm castings or a subsidised 1kg box of worms.
Please note, to obtain the subsidy you need to pre-order a worm farm when you register for the workshop, attend the workshop, and bring cash on the day to pay for it. Find more information on worm farm subsidy.
This workshop is suitable for adults and children aged 14 and over.
Places are limited, so bookings are essential.
