Moora Race Day was held in beautiful weather, over 1,100 patrons attended and a fabulous day was had by all.

President Greg Wright said, “It was wonderful to see all the patrons at this year’s races and he would like to thank all the sponsors, for without sponsors there would not be a race day.” A special thanks to all those volunteers behind the scenes that made the day happen and thanks also to the jockeys and trainers for making this race day a success.

Race 1: Terry Brennan Maiden, won by Plaudable. Jockey Kyra Yuill, Trainer Brock Lewthwaite.
Race 2: Maradah Farm/Race Club Committee Handicap, won by Clappa Thunder ridden by Kyra Tuill, trainer Raquel Reid.
Race 3: Melrose Cellars Cellarbrations Maiden, won by Luc’s Star. Jockey Andrew Castle, trainer Tina Glasson.
Race 4: TABTouch LL White Memorial Sprint won by Mythical Trust, ridden by Laqdar Ramoly, trained by Ray Malpass.
Race 5: Moora Toyota Moora Cup won by Speed’N’Reef, jockey Chris Nicoll, trainer Barry Newnham.
Race 6: Primaries CRT Handicap, winner The Choister, ridden by Nicole Hopwood, trainer Ray Malpass.

This year Moora Race Club decided to have a leading Jockey and Trainer incentive, the Jockey’s incentive was won by Kyra Yuill and the Trainers Incentive was won by Ray Malpass.

The Soklich & Co Fashions of the Field was a very close call for the beautiful handcrafted West Australian 18 carat Yellow and white gold pendant. Set with 1 x 0.28 carat Round Brilliant Argyle Champagne Diamond, 5 x white diamonds and a fabulous Natural Broome ‘Keshi’ Pearl.
Ladies’ Fashions on the Field Winner was Tarlee Brown and runner-up was Lisa Eacott.

Men’s Fashions on the Field was won by Phil Martin and the Children’s fashions Hannah Douglas and Riley Douglas.
