A beautiful autumn morning provided the perfect conditions for the unveiling of the Gingin Wall of Remembrance.
Constructed to coincide with the ANZAC 100th Anniversary commemorations, the stone monument honouring those
Shire of Gingin residents who gave their lives in both World Wars was officially unveiled by Hon Christian Porter MP, Federal Member for Pearce. The driving
force behind the wall’s construction was the Pensioners Social Club of Gingin who worked with local artisans, businesses and Shire council to bring the wall’s
concept to life. Local stone was used to build the wall which now stands beside the tranquil Gingin Brook at Granville
Park, Gingin.
