Chittering Junior Football Club (Broncos) has had a MASSIVE year!

Celebrations went through the roof when our boys bought home not one, but TWO premiership flags!
The Year 8 team fought hard in a low scoring tussle with Mt Lawley. Scores were level, until the Broncos managed to kick a point 40 seconds before the final siren!

The Year 9 team versed their arch rivals, Redcliffe. Reminiscent of their past games, it was a tough and physical match. Broncos fought hard to get their noses in front to win by 12 points.

Congratulations to both teams, their coaches and support staff.

Thank you to the many supporters that turned up to both Grand Finals sporting the Broncos’ colours. It was an amazing sight and ensured a raucous celebration at games end.

Our Year 11 team also finished their season on a high. Although struggling with low player numbers all year, the boys’ enthusiasm never waned. Their determination and persistence paid off in the end with a victory on their very last game.

To cap it all off, the Chittering Junior Football Club was awarded Champion Club (Youth) for 2017!

Very proud members of the Broncos’ Committee attended the Swan’s Gala night, where President Kevin Smith was presented with the Club’s award. Damien Dempsey was pleased and very surprised to be awarded Club Person of the Year for his outstanding work and dedication as Auskick co-ordinator and Yr 3 Coach.

Our Auskick and Junior teams also had a fantastically fun season. A highlight undoubtedly being the Year 6’s showing off their skills in the Little League match during half time of an Eagles game at Domain Stadium.

We’ll be wrapping up the year with our Annual General Meeting to be held on Sunday 12 November. Everyone is welcome to attend to hear how our 2017 season went (see advert below for further details).

A final word from the President: “On behalf of the Committee, I would like to extend our appreciation to all of the parents, players, volunteers and community members that have made 2017 a memorable year at the Chittering Junior Football Club.”
